Objects thrown by fans onto the field at Dodger Stadium led to a roughly 12-minute delay Sunday during a heated playoff game between the Dodgers and Padres.

With San Diego leading 4-1 entering the seventh inning of Game 2 of the NLDS series, two baseballs were thrown from the grandstands toward San Diego left fielder Jurickson Profar. Profar had interacted with fans earlier in the game near the fence after catching a potential home run from Los Angeles’ Mookie Betts but at first making it seem as though he had not, only to reveal the ball.

After the balls were thrown near Profar, he quickly approached umpires along with San Diego’s manager, Mike Shildt, to complain.

Security officers inside the stadium lined the field, as trash was thrown toward the San Diego bullpen, near Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. Fans were urged not to throw more objects onto the field by the stadium’s public-address announcer.

San Diego walked away with a series-tying 10-2 win to even the series 1-1.
